After a long day, we could all use a little relaxation? If you’re the type of person who finds it hard to let go, or if you’re simply looking for a little more enjoyment and and peace in life, why not try experiencing the soothing sounds of water? The sound of trickling water can help ease your tension and unload your mind after a period of stress. Many people are concerned about the volume of sound their water fountain will produce. They may wish for the aesthetic, purifying, and humidifying benefits of fountains without the sound. Or they may wish to be able to control the volume of sound emanated from the floor fountains. This is okay! You can still find a fountain to meet these needs. The volume depends on a number of factors, such as the height from which the water falls and how much water is flowing. Many fountains have water flow controls that enable you to choose the sound level of the trickling water. Whether you wish to hear your fountain or not, it is valuable to look at some of the benefits of the trickling water sound. There are many benefits to the sound of this trickling water. The white noise of water fountains blocks out background noise, which can include traffic, barking dogs, and noisy neighbors. This serves to clear distractions and give you a centered, peaceful feeling. You needn’t go so far as to buy a CD recording of running water when you can reap all the benefits of actual running water with a real water fountain in your room. Not only do water fountains sound great, they purify the air by releasing negative ions, which eliminate dust and cleanse the air. This works because negative ions, naturally released just prior to a storm, help dust and other allergens to clump together and fall to the floor. They can then be vacuumed up, helping to relieve you of pesky, sometimes debilitating allergies. Expensive, unattractive machines can do this as well, but they are not nearly as appealing or natural as water fountains. And haven’t you always been able to better relax out in clean air? Further, water fountains act as natural humidifiers to keep the air crisp and your environment healthy. Humidifiers keep you healthy by keeping your respiratory defenses high, helping to prevent flu and sore, dry throats, as well as other illnesses. Water fountains have the added optional use of aromatherapy. Simply add a few drops of your favorite scented oil to your fountain water, and sit back as the vapors slowly fill the room and send you into a deep relaxation. Different scents are shown to help you achieve different goals; for example, you may wish to relax and fall asleep, in which case lavender may help, or you may wish to concentrate while you study, in which case pine, peppermint, or a citrus may help, or you may wish to set a romantic mood and try something like sandalwood. Either way, your home or office is bound to smell great and help you achieve the desired mental benefits – be they relaxation, concentration, or something else. Water fountains are great for relaxation, their soothing aesthetics and sound pleasing to the eye and ear. They help to eliminate background noise, especially for those living in close quarters with neighbors. They serve to humidify the air, improving your health and immunity. They prevent allergies by releasing negative ions into the air. And as a tool for aromatherapy, they can help you achieve a variety of mental states. With all these benefits brought to light, it is important to note that a water fountain can be an affordable commodity to any room.
